The term “Fukengruven” is a play on the word “Fahrvergnugen,” which was a word Volkswagen kind of invented as part of a campaign in the early 90s geared toward the US market. The original word meant “driving enjoyment.”

The word was adapted into “Fukengruven” by many “jam bands” like The Grateful Dead, Phish, Blues Traveller, etc.

This is one unique shirt, and is so representative of a whole subculture within a subculture. Very cool. If you’re a collector, this is pretty choice.

A truly great one. This one looks barely worn, if ever. We would say it’s in near-mint condition with only very minor signs of being worn. Small region of discoloration near front graphic. For its age, very good condition. Very special.

This can easily be worn and lived in for a long time, or can be kept as art.
