A fan favorite for a reason: The Louis Vuitton Sonatine is such a perfect little handbag. Arguably one of Louis Vuitton’s most well-loved discontinued models, the Sonatine is usually quite difficult to find these days.


The Sonatine is a well-loved classic by Louis Vuitton but after its run in the early 2000s, it has been discontinued. It is more difficult nowadays to find one in good condition for sale; the Sonatine has quite a loyal fan following and not many people let go of theirs.

The Sonatine is a top handle bag only; there are no side attachments built in to make it convertible. It is designed to be an essentials-only handbag.


This bag is in amazing condition for its age. The inside lining is red alcantara, a suede-like material that is soft to the touch. The lining has normal wear and rubbing from age and wear, but still intact and functional. One slim inner pocket.

The inside lining might benefit from a gentle professional cleaning. There appears to be a small stain on inside lining; please see photos.

The handles still have a very nice upright shape to them and have a natural honey-colored patina, a wonderful token of vintage Louis Vuitton leather. There are some mild water marks on one handle; please see photos.

There is some minor wear and monogram fade from age but very minimal; the previous owner took great care in storing this bag well.

Naturally lightweight and comfortable to carry, this bag is perfect for evening dates or for running errands during the day.

The date code has been worn off of the lining from age and wear and is no longer readable. Most likely from 2001-2003.
It is hard to capture in photos, but stamped on the inner part of the top flap is the Louis Vuitton stamp.





This is a such a treasure to have as part of your forever wardrobe. The Sonatine is such a special Louis Vuitton bag and it deserves to have a new life full of appreciation and love. Perfect in any season, with any outfit.

If you are on the hunt for a bag you will likely not see on too many other people, this is it. Increasingly more rare and one of the top vintage Louis Vuitton styles that has held its value over time.
