Another truly gorgeous speedy.

Circa 1999, this bag is in beautiful vintage condition. The monogramed coated canvas that makes up the body of the bag is in really good condition. Usually, with these older speedies, there is a fair amount of monogram fade, but this one has very mild fade. The LV monogram looks bright and bold still.

The vachetta leather of the piping and handles has a nice honey-colored patina, which we love to see on these vintage bags.

It does have normal signs of age and wear, being well-loved previously, like torn side tabs and missing leather zipper pull (but original brass part of zipper still intact).

Original inside hanging pocket in very good condition, as well as very clean inner lining.

Very minor rubbing on corners, leather piping in good condition.

It’s such a treat seeing these older Speedys in such amazing condition. Whoever owned this previously obviously loved it and took care of it. And now it gets to have a whole new life with someone new!

This is a very well-sized bag, we feel, for a day trip or even an overnight bag if you travel light. It’s slightly bigger than the 25, which is more of an essentials-only bag. This size has a bit of extra room, but the coated canvas keeps it light and comfortable.

Such a good investment bag and makes a great contender for your first if you’ve been looking.
