The Musette Tango was (and still is) a wildly popular early 2000s Louis Vuitton model. Sadly it was discontinued less than a decade later and lovers of this model still search for Tangos in good condition.



This bag has a sister named the Musette Salsa, which has a more vertical shape while the Tango is a horizontal rectangular under-the-arm bag.



This bag was designed to be an essentials-only slim shoulder bag. It fits close under the arm and is, in our opinion, the perfect size to fit daily essentials.

The condition of this bag is very good for its age. It has mild rubbing/scuffing to its vachetta leather piping edges. Honey-colored patina and wear on the strap, darkening at the top.

Some rubbing and fade to the monogram canvas, mostly on the back, where the bag would rest against the body. Still bold and in good condition. Slight curling to the edges of the top flap, visible in photos, which is very typical of the Tango. Some small white spots, visible in photos. Snap in good working condition.

The brass hardware has oxidation and could use a professional clean-up/polishing to brighten it up. This greenish oxidation has rubbed onto the inner side of the top flap, near snap and also on strap, on the highest/closest-fitting setting. When in use, this isn’t visible, but would be if you wanted the strap on a different setting.

The inner lining is a warm butternut squash/ honey mustard-colored alcantara, which is a suede-like material that is soft to the touch. There is some mild wear to this but it is in very good condition. One open, slim pocket inside. This inside of the Tango is such a pretty color, perfect for Fall.




We love the Tango for its extreme versatility and its functionality as “the perfect day bag.” This bag looks good with literally every outfit. We love it paired simply with vintage jeans, a favorite pair of sneakers, and a relaxed blazer.


A great investment bag that is a very classic shape and useful size. The tango has kept its popularity after its discontinuation, many times being listed at nearly twice its original retail price. Everyone loves a timeless classic.


This bag does not have its original dust bag but will come in one from our collection for storage.
